After much prayer and discussion, our team have decided to call our new residential home ‘Shalom Children's Home'. Shalom means wholeness in your entire being, and we felt that this reflected our desire to see God's wholeness and peace in the lives of the children who will live in the home. God has also graciously brought us a team of people for this new work with Connie Mahupete coming on board as Home Director We have submitted the required paperwork to register Shalom as a children's home, and are now waiting for the go ahead from the authorities. |

| Binga teaching continues | ||
| Our team, headed up by pastor Rephat, are regularly visiting Binga to continue with our teaching seminars with the church volunteers in Binga, Nsenga and Simatelele. Topics covered so far this year include 'Biblical lessons about children', as well as 'Health and nutrition'. We are seeing God touch the hearts and lives of the volunteers through these seminars, and our desire is that the Lord would use them in a mighty way to impact the lives of the children in their communities. Dave recently had the opportunity to fly to Binga for the day to join Rephat and the team. | ![]() |

We serve the God of purpose. Romans 8 v 28 reminds us that "God works for good with those who love him, those whom he has called according to his purpose"
When we discover God's purpose for our lives we will then become very effective in everything we do for Him. We are all called to fulfil specific duties in God's plan to save mankind. I believe there is a purpose why God raised the Michael Project, and I am so excited to be part of what he is doing through this project. God sees a need and responds to the needs. |
|
When I look at the children, I feel like God is saying, I have a purpose and I have a plan for each and everyone of these children,and I see myself playing a role of shaping their future. I grew up an orphan myself, I know what it means to be hurt, rejected, abused and hated, but God preserved me, for such a time as this.Everytime I am with the children sharing the word of God, playing games or encouraging them, it gives me joy to know that I am in God's purpose playing my part. For every kilometre I travel on our monthly visits to Binga, I know that I am fulfilling His purpose. |

Please Pray for
Zimbabwe, as people face unprecedented economic hardship in the light of inflation exceeding 1,000,000%, and foodstuffs hard to come by in the shops. Praise God for our dedicated team who still cheerfully touch the lives of the children everday.
Pray for peace and righteousness to prevail in Zimbabwe.
Jeremiah 17:7-8 "But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD , whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."
God to bring revival to all of the communities we are working with, and that they would be transformed.
Our work in the Binga communities. That the Lord would continue to grant us favour with the authorities, and that our team would continue to see breakthroughs with the children.
That God would heal these children of the deep emotional hurt that so many of them have and that they would know His love for them.
